Everyone deserves the benefits of time in nature. It's that simple!

Wild Whatcom fosters lifelong connections to nature. We want every community and ecosystem in Whatcom County to thrive. Our programs provide safe, welcoming opportunities for people to enjoy the outdoors, learn more about the wonders of local parks and nature spaces, and get to know their neighbors.

You can help bring people together outside this year! Your donation of:

$30 monthly pays for regular program costs like warm drinks, hand lenses, and more
$75 pays for free loaner gear (think hats, gloves, rain boots, even a winter coat) to keep a child warm and dry outside.
$125 pays for a community nature outing - BIPOC Walks, Ladies Night Out, Out and About, Wild Things, or Wonder Walks - to facilitate building community and nature knowledge.
$380 pays for a scholarship for our after school program (transportation included) for a child in Whatcom County, to learn and play outside, without screens.
A donation of any amount supports youth program scholarships, pay-what-you-can nature outings for people of all ages, abilities, and identities, and free school programs for students in special education classrooms, and at high poverty and rural elementary schools.

Time in nature improves physical and mental health for people of all ages. It also increases their commitment to environmental stewardship, which improves the health of our planet.

With the support of our community, last year we:

Provided more then 50,000 nature hours to youth, families, and classrooms in our community

Explored with more than 4,000 participants
Reached 60 public school classrooms
Provided more than $93,000 in youth program scholarships
Gave back more than 1,324 hours in service and stewardship
