Basecamp Membership – $100

Your annual contribution supports the acquisition and stewardship of our land in the Carbon River corridor, preservation of Wilkeson’s historic and cultural assets, advocacy for long-term and equitable public access, and community-based recreation planning during the Fairfax Bridge closure.

Support generated through membership is intentionally reinvested back into the community through projects and initiatives led by the Wilkeson Historical District. Contributions help sustain both long-term conservation and community efforts throughout Carbon Canyon while also supporting the development and activation of Basecamp in downtown Wilkeson — a coming soon community gathering space and recreation destination designed to connect visitors and locals alike to recreation, history, and local experiences.

Basecamp will feature a local coffee favorite, trail information, recreation resources, local partnerships, gently used recreation gear available for rent or purchase, park passes, and visitor services that encourage responsible recreation, strengthen tourism, support local businesses, and build long-term community resilience.

From time to time, members may be invited to participate in stewardship days, educational programming, volunteer opportunities, and small nonprofit-hosted experiences, as appropriate and permitted.

This is a community-driven effort to protect what matters, invest locally, and thoughtfully shape what comes next. Participation does not guarantee access to restricted areas, and all activities align with current regulations, nonprofit guidelines, and safety considerations.
