Meet Wirm: A Brave Rescue Kitten in Need of Your Help

Wirm is a tiny survivor with a heart full of love, but she needs your help to overcome a serious health challenge. This sweet little rescue kitten is suffering from a condition called pectus excavatum, also known as "sunken chest." Her chest is severely deformed, with her ribs pressing inward, leaving little to no room for her heart and lungs to grow. Though she’s a fighter, this condition is preventing her from growing properly and could lead to life-threatening complications if not treated soon.

What Is Pectus Excavatum?

Pectus excavatum is a congenital deformity where the breastbone is sunken into the chest, creating a hollow appearance. In severe cases, it can restrict lung expansion and compress the heart, making it difficult to breathe. While Wirm has been incredibly resilient so far, her condition will continue to interfere with her health and development.
