Waxahachie ISD has experienced significant growth in student enrollment over the past ten years. With a student population of over 11,000, the district is continually seeking Excellence in Education. Although our students continue to do well academically and in extracurricular activities, nearly half are economically disadvantaged.

WISD is proud to partner annually with the Waxahachie community to host Operation First Day of School each August. With your help, Operation First Day of School provides essential resources for students, including backpacks, school supplies, food distribution, haircuts, hygiene products, and more. In addition to these valuable services, families can enjoy a fun-filled morning featuring music, bounce houses, food trucks, games, community resources, and other family-friendly activities. This initiative ensures that no child starts the school year at a disadvantage while bringing our community together to celebrate the start of a new school year.
