Our own California poppies at Oak Creek are doing the same -- waking us up to the threat facing one of Irvine’s last open spaces.

The Irvine Company’s revised plan still pushes for ~2,500 homes on the Oak Creek Golf Preserve, with only a small 50-acre “Nature Park.” This directly contradicts the 1988 voter-approved open space protections that Irvine residents fought for.
