We are a non profit based in Los Angeles. Our primary goal is to encourage kids to be more active primarily by walking and biking to school more often. We ask parents to rethink their commutes to school by walking, biking, carpooling or using transit whenever possible.

And that doesn't necessarily mean door to door, or every day. Each day and every block not driven makes a difference. Whether that's monthly, weekly or daily, all the way from home or parking and walking a few blocks, it all helps kids understand there are more ways to get to school than the back seat of a car.

In addition to the obvious results - cleaner air, safer streets, more active kids - kids also learn essential life skills like good decision making, time management, responsibility and traffic awareness.

Working in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and Ventura counties and serving over 40,000 kids each year we help schools develop Safe Routes to School (Walk to School Days, Walking School Buses and the like), host bike skills events on school campuses and in communities, teach safety classes for all ages, and lead group rides and walks.

During the pandemic we created an adopt-a-bike program where we collect, refurbish and distribute bikes to families who need them most. To date, we have donated nearly 350 bikes. This year, we are focusing our efforts to deliver bikes to victims of the recent fires.
