Western Maryland is home to some of the Mid-Atlantic's most unique climbing — from the sport and trad routes at Rocky Gap State Park to the towering walls of Will's Mountain (Cumberland Narrows). Although currently closed, it is the longest continuous crag in Maryland with 200+ routes ranging from beginner slabs to serious trad climbing.

The Western Maryland Climbing Coalition (WMCC) is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to protecting, preserving, and promoting responsible climbing access throughout the region. We work with land managers, DNR, and local partners to keep these irreplaceable areas open and thriving for everyone.
