Our Story

The U.S. Women’s National Team Handball Residency Program is training full-time with one goal in mind: building a competitive team for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

But unlike many Olympic programs, U.S. Team Handball athletes are responsible for covering many of their own expenses, including relocation, housing, food, training costs, transportation, and international competition travel. These expenses can make it extremely difficult for athletes to focus fully on training, recovery, and representing the United States at the highest level.

This campaign was created to help provide critical support for women’s handball athletes as they pursue their Olympic dreams. Your donation will help reduce financial barriers and support the training environment needed for athletes to compete, grow the sport, and inspire future generations of girls and women in handball.

For Rylee White and her teammates, this is bigger than one athlete or one season. It is about building visibility, access, and long-term support for a sport that remains severely underfunded in the United States.

With LA 2028 approaching, we have a unique opportunity to help grow women’s handball, expand access for future athletes, and show what is possible when athletes have the resources and community support they need.

Rylee White is a U.S. women’s team handball athlete training as part of the Olympic residency pathway. As she works toward the opportunity to represent the United States, she is also helping bring more visibility to a sport that deserves greater recognition, investment, and support.

Through this campaign, Rylee hopes to help create a stronger support system not only for herself, but for women’s handball athletes working toward the 2028 Olympic Games and beyond.
