Woodside Jazz Band is growing! This year, our jazz band has grown from 20 to 30 students, a 50% increase in just one year!

The Woodside Jazz Band gives students the opportunity to explore improvisation, rhythm, and ensemble playing while building confidence as musicians and performers. Students come with a wide range of experience, from those discovering jazz for the first time to advanced musicians developing their improvisation and performance skills.

Behind our students is a dedicated team of parent volunteers. The Woodside Music Boosters is a parent-led, all-volunteer organization that works to give our kids the resources and opportunities they need to thrive as musicians. This year, we are asking for $400 per student to help cover instruments, sheet music and performance licenses, professional instruction, scholarships, and travel to the College of San Mateo Jazz Festival.

Our growing jazz band performs throughout the year, giving students the chance to take their music beyond the classroom and share the joy of jazz with our community.
