A four-week awareness and funding campaign for NAMI Fond du Lac County through the month of September, which is recognized nationally as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. As a way of promoting suicide prevention and mental health awareness in Fond du Lac County, NAMI FDLC has created a four-week awareness and fundraising campaign from September 1 - September 28, closing the month with a celebratory Finale Event on Sunday, October 5th. Teams of up to 6 members or single participants will compete against one another for awards such as Highest Mileage and Biggest Fundraiser. This is a friendly competition which dually serves to promote awareness for suicide prevention. This is our THIRD year Stepping Up!

100% of campaign donations and proceeds will go towards NAMI Fond du Lac County to support evidence-based educational, advocacy, and service efforts focused on preventing suicide and breaking the stigma associated with mental illness.

Registration:

Single or team registration options are available! Teams consist of up to 6 members. Each team should designate a Team Captain who will collect all team members' mileage and report the team's mileage weekly. Single participants will report their own mileage weekly.

Registration starts on July 29th and ends on August 31st.

Purple Team: $225 and includes 6 t-shirts.
Teal Team: $300 and includes 6 t-shirts and 6 hoodies.

How to Track Mileage:

Walk, jog, run, swim, bike, elliptical, or total daily steps count as mileage. Mileage should be totaled and reported on the honor system (in this Google Form).

Tracking steps? 2,000 steps is equal to 1 mile.

If you are biking or logging elliptical miles, you should divide your total mileage by 3.

For example, if you bike 90 miles in one week, you would divide 90 miles by 3, which equals 30 miles (plus any that you walked or ran) is what you report as your weekly mileage.

Start tracking your miles on September 1st! At the end of each week on Saturday, please submit your mileage for that week. You will need to submit the Google Form 4 times to indicate each separate week's miles.
