The TCS New York City Marathon is the largest marathon in the world and WPA is proud to participate as a charity partner. Instead of investing in prisons and jails, WPA invests in women. Every dollar raised helps us continue our critical work, ensuring women have what they need to be free, safe, and independent. "After I came home from incarceration, WPA helped me to obtain much needed resources to get back on my feet, which included clothing, transportation, and housing. My case manager also assisted me in getting a grant to attend trade school where I learned customer service. After receiving workforce development training, WPA supported me with my job search, and eventual employment with a black car service agency. Now, I work as a Youth Care Specialist, giving back to young people who are justice impacted - the way that WPA helped me."
