A personal note from M M De Voe, founder of Pen Parentis:

Hi there and thanks for reading this far! --

As a writer and a parent, I know that if this organization had existed when my kids were babies, I would definitely have joined!

I have spent more than sixteen years growing Pen Parentis into this blossoming organization -- my goal was to forge a warm and inclusive community of writers who are also parents to help keep everyone on creative track. That community is HERE. Now we need to build out the bones and mechanics around this gorgeous heart and soul.

Please, please, please be generous to this campaign so that this organization can outlast us all Thank you thank you thank you for your contribution - so much good is on the horizon for Pen Parentis and for ALL writers who are also parents. Just wait and see!

Our core values are Professionalism, Inclusion, Community and Balance.

We are a 501c3 literary nonprofit fully dedicated to helping writers stay on creative track after having kids.

Three programs --The Literary Salons Livecast, the Annual Writing Fellowship for New Parents, and our Cycle of Support -- are the heart of our activity. Your help will allow us to build infrastructure to strengthen our core to support these fantastic programs so that they can continue to help generations of writers who are parents far into the future.

We need your help to strengthen and transform our organization, for sustainability, capacity and to permanently maintain the programs you know and love. Please be generous.
