If you've ever watched a child step onto a stage for the first time, you've witnessed something remarkable happen.

A shy child finds confidence.

A nervous child discovers courage.

A group of strangers become lifelong friends.

And somewhere between the rehearsals, the costumes, the laughter, and the applause, something even more important takes place.

Children begin to believe in themselves.

For over 30 years, Wekiva River Players has made that magic happen in borrowed classrooms, shared church halls, and wherever we could find space to rehearse. We never had a place to truly call our own—but our actors still showed up with big dreams and even bigger hearts.

Today, we finally have a place to call home.

Beginning August 1, Wekiva River Players will open the doors to a dedicated home on the campus of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Longwood, FL. For the first time in our history, we'll have a place where our young performers can rehearse, learn, create, and grow together under one roof.

Now, we're asking our community to help us make sure we can keep that home for the long run.

Our goal is to raise $75,000 by December 31, 2026, to support the operating costs of this dedicated space, ensuring that hundreds (or someday even thousands) of children continue to have a place where they are encouraged, challenged, celebrated, and inspired.

Because this campaign isn't really about a building.

Hope for every child.

Opportunities for our children to grow.

Mentorships and friendships that last a lifetime.

Empowerment through the arts.

It's about creating a place where every child feels safe enough to take a risk, brave enough to try something new, and supported enough to become who they were meant to be.
