More Than Football. A Bigger Perspective.

Every young athlete has potential, but potential alone isn't enough. Sometimes, what makes the difference is having the right people around you, the right environment to grow, and someone who can help you see what's possible.

I know that firsthand.

My football journey started right here in Mississippi. It took me from high school football to junior college, then to Kent State University, where I played Division I football, and eventually to the professional level with the New York Jets and Montreal Alouettes.

Throughout that journey, I learned that football can open doors far beyond the field. But I also learned that talent means very little without discipline, preparation, accountability, and the willingness to be coached.

That's why Coach Morgan and I created WRP Elite.

Coach Morgan is a United States military veteran who brings a different but equally valuable perspective to our organization. His background in military service reinforces the importance of discipline, leadership, teamwork, and accountability.

We come from two different backgrounds, one rooted in athletics and the other in military service, but we share the same belief: The lessons young men learn through discipline, hard work, and accountability can shape the rest of their lives.

We wanted to build something bigger than another 7v7 football team.

Our vision is to create an environment where young men throughout the Mid-South can compete against talented athletes, receive quality coaching, develop their football IQ, and learn valuable lessons that carry over into everyday life.

Through competitive 7v7 football, position-specific development, film study, mentorship, community service, and college exposure opportunities, we want to help our athletes grow as both football players and young men.

To the parents: We understand that you're trusting us with more than your child's athletic development. You're trusting us to help influence the person he's becoming.

We don't take that responsibility lightly.

As a former professional athlete and a military veteran, we understand from our different experiences that success requires more than talent. It requires consistency, sacrifice, discipline, and the ability to put something bigger than yourself first.

These are the principles we want to build WRP Elite around.

We can't promise every athlete a scholarship, a starting position, or a professional football career. What we can promise is a commitment to building a program that emphasizes development, accountability, competition, and character.

To the athletes: If you're serious about getting better, willing to be coached, and ready to compete, we want to see what you've got.

On November 14, 2026, WRP Elite will host tryouts for our inaugural 18U 7v7 team.

This is your opportunity to compete for a spot in a program built to help you become more than just a better football player.

We're not just building a team. We're building young men who are prepared for what's next.
