Wayne Township Community Theatre, sponsored by the Wayne Township Education Foundation since 2002, is a volunteer-driven theatre program that produces quality performing arts experiences for families of west Indianapolis. More than 200 students and adults volunteer and perform in theatre camps and main stage shows each year. In 2019, WTEF decided to present shows that relate to the school district’s curriculum and culture, while also removing the barrier to attend by offering free tickets to M.S.D. of Wayne Township students.

Wayne Township Education Foundation: Children, regardless of where they live, should experience the world through cultural programs, hands-on experiences, trips to places outside their neighborhood, and one-to-one mentorship. WTEF helps equalize access to opportunities with innovative program grants that allow schools and teachers to bring experiences to students in the classroom.

Teachers, who extend themselves personally and professionally, need to know that the community is on their side, believes in their ideas, and is grateful for their heroism in the classroom. With this in mind, WTEF strives to be a community catalyst that inspires your support of public education in the M.S.D. of Wayne Township.
