Imagine growing up just minutes from the beach — and never setting foot on it. That’s the reality for many students in Whatcom County.

Every year, we take local students in Title I and rural schools and in special education classes outside for hands-on, environmental learning. This year, state and federal funding cuts eliminated key funding for Wild Whatcom and the schools we serve; but we’ve committed to keeping outdoor learning alive for our most vulnerable students.
