Story

Mary Pottle was the first recorded president of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Boston section in 1950, and passed away in the summer of 2021. To honor Mary Pottle's memory and continue her mission of promoting human rights and SWE's mission of empowering women engineers, we are establishing a memorial scholarship fund to benefit women and students of marginalized genders pursuing degrees in STEM (science technology engineering mathematics). This fund will be an endowment that will benefit STEM students in Eastern Massachusetts for years to come.

We need your help. All donations to this fund will go directly to help students in STEM. SWE Boston stands behind supporting women in STEM and will match up to $12,500. Your donation will make twice the impact! As you plan your year-end donations, please add SWE Boston to your list. Please encourage your companies to make a donation or match your donation.

Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. SWE is a 501(c)3 non-profit charity. All donations are tax deductible. A donation receipt will be sent for this transaction. Please donate today. Thank you for supporting gender parity in STEM!
