Since 1884, Children's Service Society of Utah has been supporting families to ensure that children have a safe place and someone who cares. Our five programs provide comprehensive services to ensure that adoptive, kinship, and biological families all have the education, resources, and support they need to provide a stable, loving home.

The GRANDfamilies program of Children’s Service Society was started in 2002 after census data revealed that many children in the state were being raised in the homes of relatives other than their parents without any support. Since opening, GRANDfamilies has become the state’s expert organization on kinship care. GRANDfamilies strives to support kinship families by providing help with court systems, application assistance, caregiver education, and financial support.
