We’re a group of teachers, parents, and caretakers at Growing Wild, a forest preschool in West Asheville, where children learn by exploring the woods, listening to bird songs, and gathering around a fire to share stories and songs.

It’s a simple but profound vision: early childhood education rooted in nature, wonder, and connection to place.

Where We Are

Thanks to a generous parent donation, we already have a beautiful 20-foot bell tent — a space for our children to gather, rest, and continue their nature-based learning even when the weather turns cold.

What’s Next

To make the tent fully usable through the colder winter, we need your help to raise funds for:

A wooden platform to keep the tent dry and stable.
A wood stove to provide warmth, so children can learn and play comfortably even on frosty mountain mornings.

With these pieces in place, the tent becomes an all-weather shelter, ensuring Growing Wild can stay open and thriving year-round.
