Sacred Birthing Village invites our community into a sacred gathering—a joyful, revolutionary space where we reclaim birth & kinship, honor legacy, and nourish the future.

The SBV Spring Reveal is more than an event. It is a homecoming to our power—a celebration of our people, practices, and path forward. Aligned with Black Maternal Health Week, we come together to remember, witness, and rise.

We Are

We are a sacred village—rooted in the wisdom of our grandmothers & grandfathers, guided by the prayers of our children yet to be born.
We are Black and Brown women walking each other home through pregnancy, birth, and the reweaving of our lives beyond.
We are keepers of a legacy, tending to our wombs and our communities with reverence and fire.
We are the SisterFriends – Little Sister circle—offering lifelines of mentorship, kinship, and presence from conception through the first year of life and beyond.
We are a constellation of caregivers, birth keepers, kin-keepers, organizers, elders, and vision holders.
We are reclaiming our birthrights. We are rebuilding our rites of passage.
We are not waiting—we are creating the care we deserve.
We are mothers, fathers, daughters, children, aunties, uncles, cousins, grandmothers and grandfathers.
We are every womb(man)—and we are not alone.
We are planting a birthkeeper care support force to protect our futures.
We are reclaiming joy as our medicine and rest as our resistance.
We are Sacred Birthing Village.
We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.

The Grand Mother (hood) Experience: Nourishment as Ceremony

Our signature concept, "Grand Mother (hood)," reminds us that nourishment is a radical act. As we honor the women, men, aunties, uncles, elders, and community caregivers who hold us, we offer T.E.A.: Time, Energy, and Attention as medicine for the undernourished spaces in our collective experience. Come gather with us and immerse your senses:

Touch: Experience a warm welcome and meditate on the power of touch.
Scent: Enter a darkened womb room where, along with pleasant aromas, you will receive a deep dive into our impact, our values, and the next steps of our liberation journey—including the vision for our Village & Sanctuary.
Sound: Hear what will be shared in the greater hall filled with resonant drumming and conversations with members of our village on various topics related to creating a nourishing environment for our birthing community.
See: The stories of our mothers and fathers will be posted for you to read and absorb and presented to you in video.
Taste: Locally sourced and prepared nourishing food and drinks.

Support a sacred rite of passage in real time. Includes:
• 2 event tickets

• Direct contribution to postpartum support, ceremony, and care for a Little Sister

Help us gather the material offerings our Sisters need. Includes:
• 2 event tickets
• Recognition in event materials and social media
• Supplies for rest, nourishment, and ceremony
