We're excited to announce that our NHS Jazz I received 2nd place in Class 4A at NWIBA Jazz Band Districts and earned a bid to compete on April 2nd at the Iowa Jazz Championships. Help our NHS Jazz I perform at State! Your generous support will be instrumental in supporting our NHS Jazz I students with expenses such as clinicians, registrations, transportation, lodging, and meals.

Our NHS Jazz Bands are auditioned ensembles that meet regularly outside the school day. They perform and compete at several jazz festivals throughout the winter and early spring. Our jazz bands typically play a variety of jazz styles, showcasing their musical versatility.

High school jazz bands often consist of saxophones, trombones, trumpets, and a rhythm section (including piano, bass, drums, and guitar). The repertoire varies based on the band’s skill level and the director’s preferences, but these styles offer a glimpse into the exciting world of high school jazz music! 🎺🎷🎶

North Stars Band, Inc. is a parent led group designated 501.c3 non-profit organization, EIN: 42-1492982. The purpose of this organization is intended to support the Band Programs of Sioux City North High School and its students.
