At Roots Academy, growth is more than what happens in the classroom — it’s about building a sustainable future for our learners, our families, and our community.

The Growing Roots Campaign marks a major milestone: Roots is taking over the entire building we call home and entering into an agreement to purchase it from our current investor. This shift gives us control over future costs and ensures that our growth is rooted in longevity, stability, and independence.

By raising funds to support the necessary building improvements, we can ensure that annual tuition rates are not significantly impacted by our planned growth.

🎯 Phase 1: Building Foundations

Our immediate goal is to raise $100,000 to transform our Middle School learning environment and support Roots’ long-term growth.

Goal 1: Connecting Our Campus

Build an interior stairwell to unite our main level with the administrative offices and Middle School atelier — improving safety, accessibility, and connection.

Goal 2: Transforming the Middle School Atelier

Renovate approximately 1500 sq. ft. to create our Middle School Atelier to include a Knowledge Commons and Atelier— flexible space for creating, reading, reflection, and collaboration.

Goal 3: Equipping for Collaboration

Outfit the atelier with collaborative furniture, bookshelves, carpeting, and fresh finishes to create a dynamic space where learners can think big and work together.

We will continue to renovate the upstairs space to house accessible, evidence-based support services that align with our philosophy of education and whole-child care:

Occupational Therapy (OT) rooted in Polyvagal Theory and nervous system regulation
Mindfulness and Therapy services for emotional wellbeing
Speech Therapy to support communication and confidence
Evidence-based Literacy support grounded in research and best practices
