About the Youth Community Fund

This community service group usually meets at Christ Church in Bronxville one Sunday evening per month. Volunteer opportunities are communicated to the group on a rolling basis throughout the school year.

Youth Community Fund Co-Chairs, Beth Larkin and Dennise Mulvihill, support the YCF leadership team, organize volunteer opportunities within Bronxville, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe, and bring in guest speakers covering topics such as youth mental health and international youth development.

All YCF members support local non-profit and municipal agencies via community service opportunities and fundraising activities.
Juniors are eligible to be a part of the YCF leadership team. This team helps to identify, promote, and launch volunteer and fundraising activities throughout the year. The leadership team also reviews grant applications from local youth-service organizations, and presents their recommendations to the YCF membership for a vote at the end of the school year.
Each winter, sophomores, juniors, and seniors are invited to join a team of adult community evaluators in assessing 17 local nonprofits who receive annual funding from The Community Fund. Teams attend an online orientation, an agency night panel where grantee leadership talk about their work and emerging trends, and participate in a site visit to observe programs in services in action.
