Spark Central is a nonprofit organization dedicated to igniting creativity, innovation, and imagination so that young people and community members can build the future they envision for themselves.

We believe creativity is not a luxury—it is a pathway to confidence, problem-solving, self-expression, and opportunity.

Through free and low-cost programs, access to innovative technology, creative mentorship, and welcoming community spaces, Spark Central removes barriers such as cost, access, and self-doubt that often prevent people from exploring their creative potential.

While our programs serve individuals from across Spokane, we are deeply committed to investing in the West Central neighborhood, a community that has historically experienced disinvestment and limited access to creative resources and opportunities.

Support You Rock Lab, an immersive fundraising experience benefitting Spark Central’s Girls Rock Lab program. You Rock Lab is September 18-20th 2026.

During one unforgettable weekend, women, femme-identifying, and nonbinary participants come together to form bands, learn instruments, write original songs, and perform for a live audience. No previous musical experience is required—just a willingness to take a risk, try something new, and discover the power of creative expression.

You Rock Lab is more than a fundraiser. It is a celebration of courage, community, and the transformative impact of the arts. Every participant experiences firsthand what happens when people are given the support, encouragement, and opportunity to step outside their comfort zone and find their voice.
