Eric Brew's Story

When I first encountered Warriors Set Free in 2021, I was carrying burdens I thought I’d never be free from—battles that felt unwinnable, weight that felt unbearable. Life had left its marks—some visible, most hidden. I knew I couldn’t keep going the way I was. But from the moment I stepped into this ministry, something was different.

This wasn’t just another veteran support group. It was real, raw, and rooted in Christ. The team welcomed me with open arms and, more importantly, no judgment—just truth spoken in love. They didn’t just talk about faith; they lived it. I saw Christ in their words, their actions, and their unwavering belief that freedom wasn’t just a theory—it was possible.

Through deep conversations, prayer, and confronting the lies I had believed for years, my perspective shifted. My identity wasn’t tied to my past, my failures, or my trauma. It was in Christ. By the end of that day, the weight I had carried for so long was no longer mine to bear. I laid it down at the feet of the only One strong enough to carry it.

But that was just the beginning.

Freedom isn’t meant to be kept—it’s meant to be shared. Warriors Set Free didn’t just change my life; they equipped me to help change the lives of others. Now, I get to be part of the mission—to go after the next Warrior who feels lost, broken, or beyond hope. I get to stand in the trenches with them, to remind them they’re not alone, and to lead them to the only One who can truly set them free.

This is why I do what I do. Because there’s always one more. One more Warrior who needs to hear the truth. One more who needs to know they are seen, known, and loved by God. One more who needs to be reminded that their past doesn’t define them—Christ does.

I’m not just a recipient of Warriors Set Free. I’m part of it. I’ve been rescued, redeemed, and sent back into the fight—not for war, but for freedom. And I won’t stop going after one more until every Warrior has the chance to step into the healing, hope, and victory that Christ offers.

Because we weren’t meant to just survive. We were meant to live free.
