That's when the Greater North Texas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GNTHCC) Foundation 501 c3 decided to launch a fundraising campaign to support Latino and Latina men and women who wanted to pursue higher education. As part of the campaign, the GNTHCC announced that the person who raised money would receive 50% of the funds that would be awarded as a scholarship to go to school. The top fundraising individuals would also be featured as the GNTHCC Annual King and Queen, which would give them further recognition and visibility in their community.
