The Straley Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Brigham City, Utah, harnesses the power of baseball as a transformative tool for at-risk boys ages 6 - 19 living in poverty in Barahona, Dominican Republic. Our program keeps Dominican boys in school as they play with our school baseball team, Los Piratas Del Sur. Alongside their athletic training, our dedicated coaches guide them to develop strategies for success in their continuing education and career, preparing them for success both on and off the field. While our core is baseball, we coach the importance of education and holistic development. Our approach extends beyond the diamond, ensuring they grow both as athletes and individuals by meeting their personal, educational and professional goals. Through education, mentorship, and community involvement, we're cultivating a new generation of leaders, equipped to uplift their families and contribute positively to the broader Dominican community.
