Zero Landfill Atlanta is a volunteer-led sustainability initiative that diverts discontinued and excess design materials from landfills and puts them into the hands of teachers, students, artists, makers, and nonprofits—free of charge.

Founded by members of Atlanta's design community, the program was created to address a simple challenge: valuable materials were being discarded while community organizations and creatives could put them to meaningful use. Today, Zero Landfill Atlanta serves as a bridge between the design industry and the community, collecting and redistributing textiles, tile, stone, wallcoverings, carpet, furnishings, and other reusable materials.

For more than 12 years, the program has brought together manufacturers, showrooms, product representatives, volunteers, and community partners to support creative reuse, reduce waste, and promote a more circular approach to resource management.

Through collaboration, education, and sustainability, Zero Landfill Atlanta continues to give materials a second life while creating positive environmental and social impact throughout the region.
