This Giving Tuesday, we’re having a little fun by highlighting how our animals eat, and how much work goes into keeping them well-fed. Our capybaras crunch their veggies like champs, our leopards enjoy carefully prepared high-protein meals, and the sloths… well, they take their time.

Behind all of that eating is our Commissary Team, measuring, chopping, weighing, and prepping meals every single day. Feeding the Zoo’s residents is a big job, with providing the right diets, supplements, and fresh food. Fruits and veggies alone add up to nearly $50,000 each year.

This #GivingZOODay, we’re aiming to raise $25,000 to help keep the pantry stocked and support the team that makes it all happen. Your gift helps fuel every capybara nibble, leopard bite, and sloth chew.
