Oregon Spinal Cord Injury Connection is more than a resource, it is a Community. A spinal cord injury can be an isolating and overwhelming experience. OSCI's wide variety of outreach and programs provides a safety net for many going through that difficult experience.
Thanks to OSCI, within a few moths of my injury, I was able to meet and become friends with many other SCI survivors. Through their programming and partnerships, I was able to enjoy outdoor recreation and see how much was still possible.
I was honored to join their team as a community health worker in 2022. This work is so rewarding, I am able to provide the same services for others that helped me so much in the beginning of my own wheelchair journey.
