The Story Behind the 25 Days of Christmas

A few years ago, we had a simple idea…

What if during the busiest season of the year, instead of just selling and shopping, we focused on giving?

What if we could help local businesses be seen…
Make people smile during the holidays…
And bring our community together to do something bigger than ourselves?

That’s how Central Maine’s 25 Days of Christmas was born.

Every December, we partner with 25 amazing local businesses and highlight a different business each day from December 1st through Christmas Day. Each business provides a prize or gift, and we feature them in a fun, short daily video that gets shared throughout the community.

It’s more than a giveaway.

It’s a way to:

Shine a spotlight on small businesses
Encourage people to shop local
Create excitement and joy during the holidays
Build real community connection
And turn generosity into action

This year is especially meaningful…

For the first time ever, the 25 Days of Christmas is also a fundraiser.

We are proud to announce that 100% of the proceeds benefit Waterville Area Habitat for Humanity, helping local families right here in our community with safe, affordable housing.
