Aaarrgghh! Robin just got a request from an SOF team you've supported in the past for tacmed to refill their IFAKs as they move to a new AO. It may sound like last week's raffle purpose...because it is! Just for a different team this time!

Tacmed is, exasperatingly, one of those things that lags behind when units get supplied because it's not flashy like ammo or drones. There's such a shortage right now that some teams are going into battle without tourniquets. We have about $10K in requests for it to fill before Robin goes in August, so tacmed the focus must be this week.

This is the SOF team's request and Robin's cost breakdown. We get gloves and eye shields for free, and we don't do pill packs because they often contain medicines we can't easily obtain legally.

The proceeds from this week's raffle will go towards getting their IFAKs refilled.

Updates

The big news this week is the arrival of the BAG (Big @$$ Generator) to the 112th. UFL_Arcaist's contact picked it up and delivered it a few days ago; we will share more when we get it.

The 35th Marines got their long-requested sleeping bags and needful things. This is one of the units that was affected by the vile scammer. They were so happy to get this, something that is a small delivery for you, that it makes us want to do more for them. Unfortunately, Robin and Arcaist have the horrible job of constantly needing to triage and prioritize to make the most of your donations.

And lastly, who can forget our favorite combat medic with the Khyzhak Brigade? She received her requested splints.

$2 Tender Tuesday (I'm sick of TACOs, so let's do this for a while)

Wow! Showing again that Germans do, in fact, have a sense of humor, Arcaist pulled out this gorgeous set of hand-painted Christmas ornaments...perfectly timed to coincide with record-setting heat! These five ornaments represent some of UFL's long-time supported units -82nd, 43rd, TTD, 214th, and the 3rd Assault. Plus, this pack has a brilliant "volunteer" patch to go along with two crocheted doilies by Arcaist's amazing mom.

Our friends in the 127th Kharkiv brigade signed their flag and gave us their unit patch. Because we can, we added a patch from the 43rd as well as a patch from Pokrovsk and a Snake Island stamp fridge magnet.

In closing:

When I was in Lviv over Easter, I saw a couple things that made me understand Ukraine has struggled for more than just 4 years; their entire history is one of fighting for self-determination.

A Jewish temple built in the late 1500s was destroyed by invading nazis in World War 2.

This monument to the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, those murdered during the Revolution of Dignity (Euromaidan) in 2014, commemorates the movement of Ukrainians to shed russian influence in 2014.

I hope, with all my heart, that Ukraine finally succeeds in taking control of their own destiny and that they are able to enjoy and prosper in it.
