Burke Murphy's Story
Growing up around the YMCA taught me lessons of teamwork and compassion. From the soccer field to summer camping trips, YMCA staff have supported me and pushed me to grow my entire life. As a second-generation camper, my family pushed the message of the YMCA and the importance of leaving a positive impact on those around us. After moving to Elon I knew that I could count on the YMCA to give the support that a freshman in college needs I was right. I view this chapter at the Y as my time to give back to the organization that had a significant impact on my childhood. I hope you will join me in this effort through a donation to the Alamance County YMCA.
