Lester Wilson's Story

Serving the community has been a priority for me for most of my adult life.  The men of the Alpha Phi Lambda chapter have served the communities of Hampton Roads since 1935.  In just the past three months, we have mentored youth in Hampton Roads, have donated back to school supplies to children, led voter registration efforts and packaged food for delivery at the Norfolk Food Bank.  Later this year, we will distribute food baskets to needy families for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and ring the bell for the Salvation Army and so much more.  

The G.W.C. Brown Legacy Education Fund is a 501(c)3 organization that promotes education, provides scholarships and valuable life skill training.  Our fund supports students committed to self-improvement and the betterment of their communities through education.

With your support, we will be able to fund scholarships, develop new and innovative programs during this challenging period and make further improvements to the Alpha Leadership and Education Center.
