What We Are Up To

We continue to innovate and produce local programming for older adults with dementia and their caregivers. Creative Connections reaches dozens weekly through music, movement, and caregiver support. We reach beyond transportation barriers through caregiver writing workshops in person and virtually. Our monthly floral arranging program, Brains in Bloom, remains consistently therapeutic. The Purposeful Planning Program has reached over 500 families walking the dementia journey. The GVF Collaborative - a group of professionals in aging with a passion and drive to change the region for the better - continues to meet monthly. This has all been possible through fundraising at our events and because of your support.

Our Impact

Our mission has always centered around fostering connections, which we are delighted to say has made the most significant impact. Through Purposeful Planning, we have linked families to resources, fostered relationships among caregivers at Creative Connections, brought individuals living with dementia together to combat loneliness, and connected them to various activities like music, yoga, opera, and dance. Additionally, we have united passionate experts at our Collaborative meetings and brought the community together at our events. We take pride in the fact that our primary focus has been on creating connections.
