Ollie and I are in the very beginning of our journey as a therapy team. We joined Creature Comfort last year. Ollie has always loved meeting people.
On Ollie's very first therapy visit out, we went to a local college to de-stress the students during final exams. Ollie was very excited to meet all the students. He just kept wagging his tail and couldn't believe that everyone was there just to see him (and the other dogs, but don't tell him that). Ollie tried sitting on one student that knelt down, I warned the group that Ollie might try to sit in their laps. Well, the next thing I knew, I was the only one standing in a circle of about 15 college students all trying to get Ollie to sit in their laps. The day after the visit, Ollie wasn't able to lift or wag his tail. The vet diagnosed Ollie with tendinitis of the tail. Ollie wagged his tail too much and wore it out. I knew then that Ollie loved his new job.
