I found EricsHouse through a friend at church about 3 years after our son Brady died from substance abuse on July 19, 2016. My friend knew that I wanted to be in a support group and that I was also looking for a way to honor Brady.
EricsHouse support groups were on zoom because it was the beginning of COVID. It was an open group for Moms that had lost children to addiction or suicide. The meetings brought me hope and healing. It was great to speak with other moms about our losses and our experiences of grief. I was in the group for about a year. At that time I was asked to be a facilitator of a Mom’s group that lost a child to substance abuse.
I was asked to be a Grief Companion to meet one-on-one with people who have lost a loved one and need extra help with their grief. EricsHouse sent me to training with Dr. Alan Wolfelt, a renowned psychologist on grief and healing, for 150 hours of intense training to receive a Grief and Death certificate. This program is funded by donors like you.
I am so grateful to EricsHouse for giving meaning, a purpose, and a way to use our loss of Brady to do something good in his honor. EricsHouse helps so many people who have lost loved ones to suicide and substance loss. The help is needed by so many. Please consider donating so that we can continue our important work. I want to thank you in advance for helping us out.
In Honor of Brady
