Burro Base Camp is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Our work is funded through adoption fees, private donations, sponsorships, and grants, and our programs are carried out entirely by a dedicated team of volunteers. Our mission is to find trusted homes for previously wild and domestic burros while serving as stewards of the burros through training, education, and community support.

Since our founding in 2016, we have supported more than 485 burros. In 2025, we averaged 61 burros in our care at any given time and have successfully placed 62 burros into trusted homes.

By becoming a sponsor, you help us continue our vital work. Sponsorships are 100% tax-deductible and can be tailored to meet your needs and goals.
