Last summer, the Northcoast Regional Land Trust (NRLT) hosted our first Summer Celebration at Freshwater Farms Reserve featuring a concert by Huckleberry Flint and over 400 people came out to enjoy the fun.
Another exciting event was in the works for this summer when the pandemic hit. Instead of just cancelling the concert, Huckleberry Flint has been generous enough to work with NRLT to bring you their music virtually!
Join us here on Givebutter on August 22nd at 7 pm to hear new music by Huckleberry Flint and to raise some funds for the Northcoast Regional Land Trust!

This year’s event is a celebration of NRLT’s newest conservation easement, Diamond D Ranch. This conservation easement will ensure Diamond D Ranch is never divided up and can continue to be owned by the Dunn family, who have worked the land for four generations. Diamond D Ranch is uniquely positioned to build upon two other privately conserved ranches, Chalk Mountain Ranch and Charles Mountain Ranch (map here). Together, these three properties conserve wildlife habitat, protect rural livelihoods, and form a contiguous, privately conserved corridor of over 17,000 acres of land that will forever be kept whole. That’s an area larger than Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park!
A special thank you to the CALFire Forest Legacy Program for providing key funding for the Diamond D Ranch conservation easement!
Your donations to the Northcoast Regional Land Trust not only help conserve large landscapes like Diamond D Ranch, they also support education and stewardship programs.
Want to experience the Northcoast Regional Land Trust for yourself? Our ambassador property, Freshwater Farms Reserve, is open daily from 9 am – 6 pm and is a great place to get out on the land. Enjoy the nature trail, visit the goats, shop at the Kneeland Glen Farm Stand, and peruse the plants for sale from the California Native Plant Society. Visit us at 5851 Myrtle Ave!
Hopefully in 2021 we'll see you at Freshwater Farms Reserve for another great celebration like we had last summer! In the meantime, here are some memories for you to enjoy:
