Story
Kehillat Israel Tzedakah Teens (KITT) is a Jewish teen philanthropy program. Over the past 15 years, KITT has donated over $400,000 to national and international nonprofits. KITT meets monthly to form a board of a foundation in order to develop a deeper understanding on how Jewish wisdom can help inform philanthropic decisions. They begin by creating a mission statement and then spend time researching how Jewish and non-Jewish organizations are working to address local and international issues. They send Requests for Proposals to applicable nonprofits, review grant proposals, raise funds, and interview organizations, in order to ultimately make difficult but critical funding decisions. KITT helps build a community of Jewish teens who are passionate about changing the world.

2023 KITT Board Mission Statements:
JFEAT: Jews for Equality, Ahavah (Love) and Tzedek (Righteousness) strives to uphold the core values of economic and environmental justice, as well as work towards a world that is free from violence. We believe that everyone should have equal access to housing and employment. In an age where gun violence and climate change disproportionately affect youth, we are united in building a world that ensures the safety and security of our futures, and our environment as a whole.
We, DinDor: Justice Generation, strive to create a more equitable world by supporting the rights of all living creatures, both human and animal, ad action against climate change.
