I never intended to work in museums. I thought that I would get my teaching degree and find a school & classroom and that would be that. Well, when the job market I found myself in wasn't friendly to brand new teachers, I had to get creative on how I could impact the lives of children through learning. And that's where I stumbled upon museums - and I finally felt at home.
MoChiMu is a place where people like me get to inspire others to love learning. We build communities of children and families that have joyful experiences of discovery through play and spark new interests and ideas. We pour our heart into our work, because we care so deeply about the mission behind what we get to wake up and do every day: inspire creativity, critical thinking and a love of lifelong learning - for all children!
Doing this work makes me a better person, but I also believe that because of this museum, we are building a better community and a better generation to come. We are inspiring artists, scientists, veterinarians, farmers, entrepreneurs - all because we have given the children in our community a place where they can dream anything into reality.
