Melissa Holleran's Story

Hello! On April 15th, I will be jumping into the waters of Kingston Lake at Camp Lincoln to help send kids to camp this summer. This is my third year jumping in to help support something near and dear to my heart. I worked at Camp Lincoln for 7 years throughout high school and college, had my first full-time job there and have continued to volunteer in various ways throughout the years. I love summer camp and feel it's not just fun (which it is!), but helps children develop friendships they might not have at school, leadership skills, a love of nature, independence and so much more! Every year Camp Lincoln offers scholarships to campers who would otherwise be unable to afford summer camp. This year, Camp Lincoln is able to increase their available spots so even more children can experience summer camp and no camper is turned away from camp regardless of their financial circumstances. 100% of the Paddle Plunge donations go directly to campers to help them afford summer camp. My team of camp alumni and parents are looking forward to helping multiple campers afford camp this summer. Thank you for any support you are able to give!
