Stella Plain's Story

Rowing is a sport that is very important to me. It is the one sport that I’ve tried out that I actually see myself doing in the future. Both of my parents rowed for Sacremento State University for all 4 years they were in college. Recently I decided I wanted to try it out. I was playing volleyball at that moment. However, I didn’t see myself playing it in the future. After my mom got me in Capital Crew, I immediately fell in love with rowing. The nature on Lake Natoma is beautiful and the best possible view to have while out on the water. It’s a feeling that I cannot describe. Rowing so far has taught me dedication, discipline, patience, and perseverance. It has also taught me that no matter how hard you go, you can ALWAYS go harder. It has helped me in so many ways as far as life lessons, and fitness, and just giving your all until your body shuts down. I am fundraising because I want Capital Crew to have the best equipment for rowing so that we can stride our way to the top and be the best we can be.
