'Rock Your Heart Boston!

At our last 'Rock Your Heart we discussed the impact of a ripple. One stone tossed gently into the water has a lasting impact on more than expected. And that's exactly how 'Rock Your Heart Boston came to be.

One of our Alice's House guests and supporters created a ripple when her friend Tracy needed it most. She shared our story, explained our healing house mission at a time when Tracey was going through a difficult family diagnosis. And a ripple was created.

Fast forward and Tracy was doing what she loves most, running, when a Boston Marathon bib was given to her, another ripple. Tracy looked at this bib as an opportunity to create a ripple, for Alice's House. And we couldn't be more grateful, excited and supported. As Tracy takes on her 18th marathon from Hopkinton to Boylston Street, we'll be cheering her on every mile of the way.

Introducing Tracy Abber, Alice's House 1st Boston Marathon runner, is a RN who works at Brigham and Women’s Hospital on the postpartum floor. Her passion for running and helping others has taken her through 17 marathons raising funds and awareness for Martin Richard foundation, Boston Children’s Hospital Bone Marrow Failure Clinic, Liz Tarpey Memorial Scholarship for Braintree HS, and now, Alices House. A native of Quincy, Tracy and her husband, Joe live in Dedham and have 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren.
