I’ve volunteered with Community Loving for three years now and it’s been amazing to see what one small group of people can bring to their neighbors, their community, and even the environment. We sort and organize used clothing donations from all over the South Bay and distribute them through our own boutique events for free! Families throughout the region can pick whatever they want free of pressure or judgement. All we do is help them bag it! These events also include new items such as hygiene kits, essentials, diapers, etc to supplement the needs of our fellow neighbors. Monetary donations as well as companies help us provide this service. I’d really like to see us continue to do this work and reach families often forgotten by our current system.
