I have had the honor and privilege of serving as BirdsCaribbean's Executive Director, working with the most amazing and dedicated network of partners, staff, members, and volunteers. I have seen firsthand the progress that we have made in changing lives and saving birds - endemics, residents and migrants - and their habitats over the past few years.
Last year was a banner of year of accomplishments: we completed 10 training workshops - providing skills, resources, and mentoring to 175+ Caribbean wildlife professionals on 10+ islands. We also provided materials and small grants to many partners to carry our vital conservation and education projects, all working with communities and raising awareness about the incredible birds and nature in each island.
