UPLIFT was founded in 2014 to provide immediate and long-term support, resources, education, and global connections for children and adults experiencing poverty to achieve a life of dignity.

Over the past 6 years, we have

• Created UPLIFT Academy Childcare and Preschool in West Philadelphia, serving native Philadelphians and Liberian immigrants. Our center focuses on education and literacy in a caring environment.
• Though Covid-19 interrupted our operations in Philadelphia, we remained steadfast and acquired our 2nd Keystone Star to offer the best education and quality care to our clients in West Philly.
• Fed 407 households (2000+ people) through UPLIFT's Hungry No More initiative.
• Created 7 reading rooms in Duazon, Liberia, which provides books and resources for 957 school children.
• Starting in June, UPLIFT will begin literacy-focused after-school programs at the Lehvumah Public Elementary School near our land in Liberia.

We UPLIFT every amazing child that comes through our doors. Though it felt like the world stopped during Covid, we worked harder and more strategically to reach the children and adults who benefit from our efforts at UPLIFT. For our most important stakeholders worldwide, life became significantly more challenging, and learning and development took a complete halt. However, social advancement and our calling to dignify our stakeholders kept our fire lit!

We have been gifted 5 acres of land and have the opportunity to build a resource center.

The resource center will:

• Create jobs
• Provide education through books, training, workshops, and technology 
• Provide extra-curricular activities
• Provide a safe haven for community members
• Produce food for the community to consume and profit from
• UPLIFT the community out of extreme poverty
