My name is Phoebe Fisher, I am a Navy veteran and co-founder of FADE, fighting anxiety and depression with exercise. My husband Jacob Fisher and I are both PTSD affected disabled veterans who train and compete as professional strength athletes. I have been a fitness trainer and strength coach for over 20 years.

As founders of FADE Strength and Fitness Promotions, we promote strength and fitness events and contests, train corporate groups, athletic teams and individuals. Through our fundraising and product sales we are happy to announce that in 2023 we will be supporting and sponsoring 6 athletes in their training, travel and entry fees for competition.

The events of 2020 forced us to close our previous fitness equipment business and during that year of lockdown and quarantines, we created programs for online and small group systems for fitness. Our fitness programs fill a demand for fitness as an aid in mental health recovery. We believe fighting anxiety and depression with exercise is a useful tool for all, not just those suffering from mental health disorder. Fitness and strength training is a vital component of our pursuit of a healthy lifestyle, body and mind.

We live and serve within a community of over 200,000 veterans and 80,000 active duty military which is roughly 20% of the local population in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia alone. While our launch is local to VA, our goal is to establish a national presence with our athletic sponsorship program, fitness programs and seminars.

The Strength Gauntlet is a once a year event during which we raise funds for these programs and sponsored athletes. All proceeds from this event go towards travel, entry fees, training fees and memberships for 6 sponsored athletes from the sports of powerlifting, strongman, weightlifting and CrossFit!
