The Senior Source's Guardianship and Caregiver Support Programs have been grateful beneficiaries of BvB Dallas for many years. Older adults who are no longer able to make decisions for themselves and have no trusted family or friends to speak on their behalf are at risk for abuse, neglect, or exploitation. In that situation, a court appoints a guardian to ensure the older adult's health and well-being. The Senior Source serves as Guardian to approximately 100 such people in the Dallas area. The Senior Source also offers comprehensive support programs for thousands of family caregivers who are caring for an aging or ill parent, spouse, or loved one. We offer support groups, individualized recommendations, referrals to community resources, supplies and educational program so that caregivers don't feel alone and overwhelmed by their responsibilities.
