Angela Tiedemann and Sarah Ackermann are excited to release 13 Spooky Tales: A Book of Children's Poems in the Fall of 2023. To celebrate the books release, they are hosting a Halloween Spooktacular event in which they wanted to offer a fundraising opportunity for a very special nonprofit organization, Landon's League Foundation - Finding a Cure for CAMPSAP1.

Here is a message from Landon's Mom and Dad:

We founded our nonprofit, Landon’s League Foundation (LLF), in June 2018 on behalf of our son Landon and the 8 other known children who have been affected by a rare gene disorder with our purpose to assist in direct funding for development of treatments for rare genetic diseases as well as assist families of children with rare genetic conditions by providing equipment to help activities of daily living. LLF was created 5 years ago when Landon was first diagnosed as having a gene disorder with no known answers or information about the gene. Landon’s condition contributes to developmental delays, seizures, feeding difficulties, and vision impairment, just to name a few.

We are overjoyed to share that, through our international networking (including our own local Washington University physicians) and fundraising for research efforts, Landon’s League Foundation was published in the American Journal of Human Genetics in November 2022! This historic milestone has been our driving force to continue to advocate for the next steps in gene research for a cure.

Last year’s Land-On the Green golf tournament raised over $25,000. Our fundraising has grown every year because of raising awareness, sponsors, and individuals like you.

Raising funds for Landon's League is special to Angela and Sarah because in crafting our children's book, we wanted to find a way to give back to children in need. Angela met Landon's mom, Lauren, at work over 10 years ago and has watched her become an amazing mom to Landon and an amazing advocate for not only him, but for others affected by rare genetic disorders too.
